The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition - 2021-22

The students of National Public School, HSR Layout brought laurels to their school by emerging as finalists, qualifying in the top 50 finalists in the 2021-2022 Wharton Global High School Investment Competition. The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania has announced the regional winners of the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition, an annual contest for high school teachers and students run by the School’s Wharton Global Youth Program. Using newly acquired financial literacy, strategic thinking and creativity, two teams, NPSH Capital comprising of Sameer Sanjeev, Anggadha Anil, Harsh Mittal, Aditya Gulawani, Naman Donti, Samarth Shrimal, and Team Comrades represented by Anushka Dalal, Aryan Dixit, Arundhati Satyam, Atharv Kaushik, Shaina Dulles beat hundreds of other student teams, and earned a right to compete for the global title. In this year’s edition, more than 5000 students from 35 countries vied with each other in the qualifying round that amply demonstrated that innovation transcends geographical borders!

Young writer’s award at Katha Utsav

The budding writer of NPS HSR, Ilina Mukherjee, has again achieved a marvelous feat by winning the young writer’s award at Katha Utsav. The promising writer competed with 1000 students across India and made it to the winners list of 80 students.

Aditya Kathait

Aditya Kathait of National Public School , HSR has done the school proud by winning the Times Interschool Quiz 2021. Competing with over 50,000 students across 1000 schools in South India, Aditya Kathait was declared a winner after a series of arduous rounds which was a battleground for bright minds

Kavya Bhat

Kavya Bhat of grade 12, NPS HSR has been accepted into the Summer Science Program, an intensive 5-week program for research in biochemistry and astrophysics. It is co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a very sought after summer program for high school students. Kavya will be doing research in astrophysics, charting the orbits of near earth asteroids with 35 other students from around the world. Kavya was also one of the 15 finalists among 5600 participants in the Breakthrough Junior Challenge 2020. It is a global video making competition on complex science topics. She was declared the regional winner of India.
