Montessori "Book Day", 2022-2023

WORLD BOOK DAY

The initiative ‘Kathalaya’ was launched to introduce Montessori children to the works of Indian authors and create an interest in their books. As part of the programme, the Montessori juniors and seniors brought books to read and share with their classmates during the week. They were also involved in an activity where they recreated the book covers of the books they read. The seniors also worked on origami bookmarks.

On 2nd March 2023, the Montessori campus came to life as the students arrived dressed as characters from their favourite childhood books, ranging from Dahl to Disney. They wowed their classmates and friends with their book-inspired costumes, props, and role-plays. A special fashion show, ‘Happy Tales, saw the students walk the ramp and strike poses. The day concluded with a World Book Day presentation and a fun game for the Montessori seniors, Book Scavenger Hunt.
