Humanities students in Grade 12 went on a one-day trip to the Government History Museum on April 5th 2023. The visit helped them learn about human civilizations from the Indus Valley through the 19th century. The tour took them back in time to when man evolved from a food gatherer to a food producer. The students were captivated by the beautiful carvings of the Hoysala and Vijayanagar periods, and they also examined the oldest Kannada inscriptions: the Halmidi Shasana and the Begur inscription. Students then visited the Mythic Society History Library, which housed 46,000 books on history and purchased several authentic 17th-century texts. The visit also gave them the opportunity to glance through the replica of the original Constitution of India. The tour was both an entertaining and enriching experience for the students.
