Batch of 2019. That’s what they call us in college. But this year holds a great significance in my life, as that year I graduated from the place I call my second home even now- NPS HSR. I joined the school when it was founded in 2008, and those 11 years have helped me blossom into the individual that I am today. Back in school, we always got the opportunity to explore the dynamic balance between studies and co-curriculars. Hosting and participating in various inter-school fests allowed me to inculcate several social and communication skills which come in handy in my day-to-day life at the hospital. Although I am a fourth-year medical student at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, the one place that still makes me feel loved and pampered, is school. I make it a point to visit at least once every year, as it is my base- the teachers and the environment keep me grounded and keep me going no matter what. I can safely say that I definitely miss school, and hope to stay in touch for as long as possible!

My time in NPS HSR is something I will always cherish and be thankful for. Our school was where I not only made friends for life but also where I had the good fortune to have wonderful mentors who helped me learn to grow up to become someone, I can be proud of without losing the opportunity to fully enjoy my childhood in the process.

Through the ten years of schooling in NPS-HSR, my friends and I had many fun filled experiences and tried our hands at various things - we've sung, danced, organised events, played sports, enjoyed school trips, participated in debates read many books and met so many people.

I graduated from school in 2019 and joined Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences, where I am currently a third-year medical student and having a great time. Where or who I might be in 10 or 20 years from now may change, but the values I learnt from NPS-HSR will forever be the roots of who I am.

The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the memories we carry with us shall never pass away.

The 10 years that I spent in NPS HSR have laid a solid foundation for me to build interpersonal connections and develop skills necessary to navigate through the real world. With a plethora of extracurricular activities, student clubs and annual events coexisting with the intentions of cultivating a sense of academic excellence, NPS HSR has never failed to shape students into well rounded personalities as they finally step outside the school’s gates. As I turn over a new leaf in my life, I’m forever grateful to my alma mater, for it’s an everlasting reminder for me to reach out, reach high and reach beyond.

It's hard to believe that it's been four years since I graduated from NPS- HSR. I walked through the school gates for the first time in 2008 and it remained my second home for the next decade. In my heart, it's the day-to-day experiences that stands out - playing basketball with my friends in the blazing sun, reading amidst hushed whispers at the library, putting up art pieces with the smell of acrylic paint flooding the room. The community we created at school is strong, and continues to stay that way years later. The teachers were always so supportive and understanding, and I'm so grateful that they always stood by my side. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Physics and computer science. It was challenging but no doubt that I have my school to thank for setting me up for success. I grew up at NPS and watched the school grow alongside me. I hope I get to watch it continue to flourish for many more years!

I graduated from NPS HSR in 2019 which seems like a lifetime ago. School was like a second home for me. The teachers, staff, and akkas who have been there from its inception have seen me develop from a second grader to a college graduate. Everyone at school always made me feel welcome and I formed lifelong friends there, which I attribute to the environment we were immersed in. Even now, I maintain contact with many of my teachers and frequently recall happy memories.

In 11th and 12th grade, I studied Commerce before pursuing a BA in Mass Communication at Symbiosis University in Pune. All of the skills I was able to develop through extracurriculars, such as organising and attending fests, field trips, and many other diverse activities I had the opportunity to do at school (such as being the school magazine Spectrum's editor), significantly improved my knowledge base and experience in college and in the real world. I went on to specialise in advertising and graduated in 2022, after which I had the privilege of working with brands such as Cadbury, Oreo, ICC, and Samsung.

NPS will always be a part of me since it shaped who I am. I'll remain eternally grateful for the years of education and experiences that still make me want to go back to school. I hope to keep in touch with everyone who made my time at school so delightful for many years to come.

When you miss something so dearly from the past, you know it was a great memory. There hasn't been a day when I don't wish to go back to my schooldays, that's how much fun I had in NPS. Amazing friends and a brilliant set of teachers, who each in their own way were the best support system, and are sure to stay as lifelong connections. More than anything, I have my school to thank for my character and values. Thank you, NPS, for a great 4 years!

It’s hard to explain how amazing my years at NPS were. Even looking back 7 years later, my best friends, the most memorable stories, my favorite teachers and the best years of my life were made there. It’s hard to explain the magic, but the fact that it happened is more than I could have ever asked for.
