History trip to Vidhan Soudha
On 18 July 2023, the Humanities students of grades 11 and 12 went on a field trip to explore ancient, medieval and modern architecture in Bangalore. The objective of the tour was to gain insights into the diverse architectural styles that have shaped the country's history and culture. The trip included a visit to the Gavi Gangadheshwara Temple, Bull Temple, Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, and the iconic Vidhan Soudha. The Gavi Gangadheshwara and Bull temple epitomized ancient architecture, and the visit impressed upon the students the significance of religious and cultural beliefs in shaping architectural styles throughout history. Tipu Sultan’s summer palace offered a glimpse into the medieval era. The most anticipated part of the field trip was the visit to the Vidhan Soudha, which gave the students a first-hand experience of the functioning of the state assembly.
