Khel Khel Mein (KKM) was launched in 2015 with the objective of reviving now-forgotten traditional games alongside introducing new ones to allow children to enjoy the numerous benefits of playing them. The initiative aims to nurture team spirit and leadership skills in children and also promote their emotional well-being.
This year's KKM event was flagged off on Wednesday, 30th August '23 with our principal, Ms. Shefali Tyagi, as the chief guest. As the juniors and seniors, dressed in T-shirts of blue, yellow, and red, paired with black track pants, took the field, they were greeted with loud cheers. Teachers joined in by wearing matching shades, adding to the festive atmosphere. The excitement was palpable as the junior teams engaged in a tug-of-war competition. Meanwhile, all seniors enthusiastically participated in a game where they had to locate bean bags hidden under cones.
Buntings and decorations added to the festive spirit. Children adorned the railings with pictures of games played in their grandparents’ childhood. To make the day more eventful and fun, games were organized for the teachers and the support staff. It was an exciting day not just for the students but also for the teachers, who became cheerleaders for their students.
