Every Independence Day serves as a poignant reminder to all Indians of the dawn of a new era, the start of a new free life. The Pre-Primary children proudly celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 14 August 2023, marking 76 years of freedom.

The GMC-HSR campus was decorated with tri-colours, and the children were greeted with resounding patriotic songs. The event was presided over by our Principal, Ms Shefali Tyagi.

To celebrate the occasion, the Montessori children came dressed as the national symbols of India while a few Kindergarteners role -played as eminent personalities of our country. The children discussed the importance of this day and elaborated on how it was celebrated. The Montessori and the Kindergarten children enthralled everyone with their dance performances, which symbolised oneness.

The grand finale featured a dance signifying ‘Unity in diversity showcasing India’s rich multicultural tapestry. The celebration ended with the Principal’s address to the gathering, followed by a harmonious rendering of the National Anthem by the little ones. The day concluded with the children carrying cherished souvenirs back to their homes.
