NPS HSR’s annual event ‘Sphoorti,’ held on 22 December 2023, commenced with much fanfare and enthusiasm. The day unfolded in spectacular style with a crisp march past by the senior school students. The Chief Guest, Dr. Sucheta Deb Burman, an accomplished swimmer, took the audience through her life journey as a swimmer and shared interesting anecdotes from her swimming expeditions. The Vice Chairperson, Dr. Bindu Hari, addressing the august gathering of dignitaries, students, teachers, and parents, emphasized the importance of physical fitness and urged everyone present to prioritize their health. Following this, the school Principal, Ms. Shefali Tyagi, declared the sports meet open.

The drills and displays by the middle and primary school students paid homage to India's achievements in the world of science and technology. Additionally, the students paid tribute to the Chandrayaan scientists, who elevated India's standing in the space realm. The track and field events awakened the house spirit, evoking heightened emotional responses from the participants and their parents. The competing students representing their houses - Challengers, Pioneers, Voyagers, and Explorers - gave their all to bring laurel and glory to their teams. Medals and certificates were distributed to the winners by enthusiastic parents. The games and races organized for the parents garnered an enthusiastic response. The closing ceremony march past concluded the day’s events in a grand and imposing style.
