Let it go
‘Accept what is, let go of what was, have faith in what will be.’ On 12 October 2022, the students of 9C ushered in new hope and optimism through their offline assembly. The assembly began with a skit on the story of a youngster as she navigated the treacherous world of teenage friendships. A chance encounter with a stranger and a certain book ultimately empowered her to muster the courage to stand up to her deceitful friends. This tale enunciated the importance of surrounding yourself with the people who bring out the best in you and letting go of those who ridicule and demean you. The assembly was indeed a multi-coloured tapestry of an engrossing storyline, confident dialogue delivery, soulful song recital, captivating dance performances, news reading, the thought-for-the-day and the Vote of Thanks. The audiences expressed their appreciation with a thundering applause. The assembly conveyed a profound and relevant message of letting go of toxicity and embracing positivity.
