Vihaan 2023 - 2024
Session 1
In the first session of Vihaan, the pastoral initiative for the school support staff, held on 8 July 2023, the team recited shlokas and learnt their meanings in preparation for the Shloka Recitation Competition scheduled for term 2. The session helped deepen their understanding of the philosophical and spiritual messages conveyed in the verses.
Session 2
The second session of Vihaan, held on 22 July 2023, focused on providing opportunities to the support staff for artistic expression and relaxation through Mandala art. The pastoral team provided the group with the supplies necessary for the activity. The support staff, enthusiastic and eager to explore their creativity, wholeheartedly engaged in the artwork and showcased their artistic abilities. Ms. Pramila, Ms. Renuka and Ms. Sulakshana were adjudged winners, and they will be felicitated in the concluding session of Vihaan.
Session 3
Shloka competition and Yoga Session
On 23 September ‘23, as part of the pastoral initiative, Vihaan, a Shloka Competition and a Yoga session were organized for the support staff of the school led by our in-house yoga instructor. The event was marked by active participation and a remarkable display of talent from our support staff. The competition was judged by our Sanskrit teacher, Ms. Chanchala, who evaluated the participants based on their pronunciation, and rendition of shlokas. The yoga session that followed the Shloka competition aimed to promote the physical and mental well-being of the support staff. The session included asanas like Vrikshasana, Gomukhasana, and Trikonasana.
