Independence Day celebrations at NPS HSR commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the School Principal. In her address to the students, Principal Ms. Shefali Tyagi recounted the remarkable bravery of Indian soldiers during Operation Meghdoot, which secured India’s control over the Siachen Glacier and the Saltoro Ridge in Ladakh.

The cultural celebrations that followed featured a song, a dance and a skit that captured the spirit of the occasion. The performances highlighted how citizens from diverse professions-including teachers, doctors, sportspersons and others- are everyday heroes who contribute to the nation through their service, dedication and commitment. The celebrations served as a poignant reminder that patriotism is not confined to the battlefield but is expressed through the dedication and service of every citizen who contributes to the nation’s progress.
