On Tuesday, 8 September 2026, Grade 5A presented an assembly on “Literacy: The Key to Our Future” to celebrate International Literacy Day. The assembly explored the theme “Literacy for people, the planet and prosperity” through an engaging combination of a song, story, facts and dance. The students highlighted how literacy helped people communicate, care for the planet and create opportunities for a successful future. Through their performances and messages, they demonstrated that literacy was much more than reading and writing—it gave us knowledge, confidence and the power to express ourselves. The assembly was an inspiring celebration of learning, creativity and the many doors that literacy could open.
