On Monday, 28 November 2022, students of 6C presented their class assembly on the topic ‘Celebrating Rabindra Jayanti’. Remembering the literary icon on his 160th Birth Anniversary, students paid a glorious tribute to the ‘Bard of Bengal’. The Assembly commenced with a recounting of Tagore’s childhood and his contributions to the literary and cultural oeuvre of India. With the soulful rendition of ‘Aye Tobe Sohochori’, the audience was ushered into the magical world of Rabindra Sangeet. The highlight of the day was ‘Rendezvous with Tagore’, where students recreated a scene at Shanti Niketan, Tagore’s experimental school. The interaction between The Master and his pupils was well received. A short staging of Tagore’s magnum opus Kabuliwala won the hearts of the audience.
