On 22nd August 2025, Grade 10 students visited the Gone Mad Chocolate Factory for an educational trip that provided an engaging insight into the world of chocolate production. The visit began with a detailed presentation, followed by a guided tour through the various stages of the manufacturing process from the careful selection and roasting of cocoa beans to the advanced techniques of grinding, conching, tempering, and moulding. Students observed the seamless integration of scientific methodology and artisanal craftsmanship. In the Research and Development wing, they explored how flavour innovation, quality control, and product formulation are driven by scientific research. The highlight of the visit was a hands-on packaging activity, where selected students, adhering to strict hygiene protocols, actively participated in packing chocolates. The trip concluded on a sweet note, with children happily purchasing a variety of Gone Mad chocolates at a discounted price. This immersive experience greatly enriched their understanding of food technology and industrial processes, effectively bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
