On Thursday, 6th August, the students of class 8C celebrated the rich, cultural diversity of India through a vibrant assembly, titled ‘Hamari Poshak, Hamari Pehchan’ or ‘Our Attires, Our Identity.’ The assembly took everyone on a colourful journey across the country, exploring the distinct identities of North, South, East, West and Northeast India. Through traditional attire, music and dance, each region showcased its unique cultural heritage and the traditions that have been passed down through generations. Each segment highlighted how clothing is much more than just something we wear—it can reflect our history, environment, traditions, communities and sense of identity. Ultimately, “Hamari Poshak, Hamari Pehchan” was a celebration of what makes India unique: its many identities coming together as one.
