The contributions of our guest speakers have always proved to be invaluable to the learning process of our students as they open up new vistas for them. On Friday, 13 November, 2020, the guest speaker was Ms. Aruna co- founder of Number Nagar who addressed the students of Grade 5. The topic covered was- Multiplication of Decimals. She has been exploring experiential learning as a tool to teach Mathematics, Science and English. She started the session by testing the students’ previous knowledge of fractions and basic decimals. The students were then taught Multiplication of Decimals using grids of one –tenths and one- hundredths and colours. The experience was hands on and very interactive. The students thoroughly enjoyed the learning session.
