As part of our Annual Reading Theme, Read-a-Palooza, the Kindergarten hosted two engaging events in November and December—‘Character Meet and Greet’ and ‘Once Upon Our Time’—celebrating the magic of stories and the joy of reading together.
It was a joy to witness the excitement of our Kindergarteners during the Character Meet and Greet event, as they arrived dressed as their favourite storybook characters and confidently shared a few lines about the roles they portrayed, bringing their stories vividly to life. Once Upon Our Time was a special parent–child collaborative reading experience, where parents revisited treasured childhood tales by reading aloud to their children, creating heart-warming moments of bonding and shared imagination.
The celebration was further enriched by interactive activities, including a delightful stage enactment by enthusiastic parent volunteers. These shared experiences highlighted the joy of storytelling, strengthened the home–school partnership, and reinforced the importance of reading as a meaningful, joyful, and imaginative experience.
Together, the events inspired young readers to explore new worlds, express themselves with confidence, and develop creativity, emotional connection, and a lifelong love for books.
