Field trips provide authentic, hands-on experiential learning opportunities where students can connect what they are learning in classroom, in a real-world context.
On September 19, 2024, the Kindergarten 1 students participated in a field trip to a local bakery as part of their Environmental Studies (EVS) curriculum on the theme ‘Professionals’. Upon arrival, the students were given a brief tour of the bakery, where they observed a variety of cakes and breads on display.
The students had an enjoyable experience interacting with the chefs and watching the cake-making process. They observed how cakes are crafted and decorated with various flavours, icing, and toppings. As a goodwill gesture, students were offered small pieces of cake, and goodie boxes, leaving them with bright smiles. Overall, it was a memorable and enriching experience for the Kindergarten 1 students.
