“...inhale… hold… exhale… repeat — keep up to the Yoga beat!”
At Montessori, GMC HSR, we believe healthy habits are best nurtured from an early age—and what better way to inspire young minds and bodies than through yoga!
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, our little learners embraced the joy of movement, mindfulness, and play. Through fun poses like Tree, Butterfly, and Cat-Cow, they discovered how yoga can help them feel calm, strong, and happy. The session beautifully combined meditation, stretching, Surya Namaskar, and simple breathing exercises, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and energized.
Our senior students explored the rich origins and history of yoga through an engaging, interactive presentation. Adding a delightful moment to the day, one curious child asked, “Did yoga begin when the dinosaurs were there?”—a heartwarming reminder of how children imagine the distant past!
To conclude the celebration, our teachers and support staff also came together for a rejuvenating yoga session, taking a well-deserved pause to reconnect with their body, mind, and spirit after a fulfilling day.
A joyful celebration of wellness, mindfulness, and togetherness!
